This is for all my fellow Entrepreneurs out there!
How many times have you had a great idea you wanted to act on, and the idea was just in your head - then weeks or months later, you're not any closer to achieving that great idea?
Or have you acted on a great idea, then realized, because you didn't do the research or plan it out very well, that it really wasn't that great of an idea?
Well, these are some of the reasons why I want to discuss why you should have a business plan! It's time to get out that notebook and pen and write it down!
Now, I'm not saying everyone NEEDS to make a complete business plan, but it may be a good idea. While obtaining my Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship degree I've written several business plans, as well as read others, and it sometimes is just an eye opener on some aspects you didn't even consider!
Another thing about a Business Plan -
It's a game plan! When you have it all written down, it's right there for you to refer back to! Remember - it's not written in stone, you can revise! It's a work in progress and you should keep it current! Write one and refer back to it on a regular basis. Re-read it and Update it!
Writing a business plan that's well thought out, and you spent time organizing, could mean the difference between success and failure! It's a plan of what your business will actually be, and it will help you be successful right from the start!
Even if you're already in business, and have been successful, I would still sit down and write out a business plan.
Not sure where to begin? I would check out the U.S. Small Business Administration website. Also on their website is a Guide For Writing A Business Plan.
I want to see all my fellow and future Small Business Owners succeed, so make sure you take the time to plan out your success.
Already have a Business Plan? Feel free to leave a comment for everyone else who's preparing to write one! What have you found beneficial about having one? I love to read all of your comments! :)
Happy Monday, Have a Great Week, and don't forget to Be Stupendous!
