Feature Friday - Finding The Undiscovered!

So for this week, my goal was to find 10 sellers on Etsy who haven't really been discovered yet, and try to help them get discovered! :)

The holidays are just around the corner, and instead of going to your regular places for presents (like the mall) why not check out some of these great shops, and support the handmade community! These aren't just your ordinary gifts you buy, these items are made with care and sellers take pride in their work. Feel free to click each shop, they will open up in a new window so you don't miss out on the other shops! :)

So on to the 10 featured sellers this week:

National Dessert Day!

So, today is National Dessert Day! My family and I are snacking on some Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookies, which are delicious; however, today I want to share a different recipe with you!

A couple weeks ago my someday sister-in-law came over for a girls night and we made these delicious Baked Pumpkin Doughnuts that she found on Pinterest!

Recipe: http://www.kingarthurflour.com/blog/2012/09/07/pumpkin-doughnuts-baked-to-perfection/

The only thing we did different, where it says "1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, or 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon plus a heaping 1/4 teaspoon each ground nutmeg and ground ginger" we used the pumpkin spice, but then added some cinnamon in too. :)

Happy National Dessert Day! What are you indulging in???

Feature Friday! - The first of many!

So, I have been thinking of blog ideas... and while I am still thinking of what I want to do FOR SURE - one thing I would love to do is a Feature Friday post! I would love to find wonderful talented people selling on Etsy and feature them here to help them get found a bit, and tell their stories.

But, since this idea originally popped in my head this morning at 4am, I haven't had much time to prepare... So, I'm sharing this link with you.

Madison Street Beauty was so kind as to include my shop in the "ETSY SHOP SHOUT OUT!" Go check out the post, share it, like it - just show some love :) And check out some of those great shops listed there! Plenty of wonderful gift ideas for the upcoming holidays!

And since I was included in the shout out - for this weekend I'm offering Free Shipping to all the U.S. customers! Just visit my Etsy shop, pick which awesome items you want today, and use coupon code: FREESHIP at checkout. :)

And also - on a side note - today is I Love Yarn Day - which, if you are following me on Twitter or Facebook - you're probably quite aware of this already! But I had to share just one more time :) Because I love yarn :) and can never seem to have enough! (so many !!!!!'s - that's how much I love it.)

And one more side note - I received a letter in the mail today about the donation to Hospice Dreams I mentioned in a previous post. I will be writing about that soon too!

Have an Awesome Day and don't forget to Be Stupendous!

Delicious Budget Friendly Cheese Steak Sandwiches for the Family!

So, as my husband and I were watching Best Food Ever on Netflix last night, we decided that we just had to have Cheese Steak sandwiches for dinner. This led to a quick trip to Kroger and we got some pretty good deals! (Gotta love Manager Specials). Even without manager specials though, this isn't very expensive to make, especially if you watch sales or have some of the ingredients sitting around already.

So, while making it, we decided to take a lot of pictures and share with you exactly what we do. Keep in mind, toppings are optional, the type of bread you use is optional, and the type of cheese is also optional! This is what we did though. :)

Ingredients:
Meat - We used Choice Beef Round Bottom Round Steak, but you can use any kind of steak you want really. My husband picked this steak for the marbleization.
Vegetable Oil
Salt
1 whole Green Pepper
1 whole Onion
About 5 White Whole Mushrooms
Mozzarella Cheese
Hoagie Buns
A1 Steak Sauce

And - Our food critic: Seth! (Our son - 19 months old)
He was patiently waiting for dinner to get done.
